Thank ever so much for your brilliant surgery. I was very impressed from a start when, during my first consultation, you explained very clearly and in the friendliest manner the procedure for a double bunion removal and the post operative recovery process.

It gave my all the confidence to put both my feet into your expert hands!

I sailed through your operation, I was off painkillers three days following the procedure and walked out of the hospital confidently, in my own comfortable sandals, following my two weeks check-up, when the plasters went off. Exactly a month after my surgery I was on the plane to a beach holiday where I walked 8 miles pretty much every day without a single discomfort. To top my happiness- your stitches were barely visible! You must be a magician as well...

To say that I am thrilled with the results of your surgery would be a serious understatement. My only regret is that I have not found you earlier!

Many thanks again. I couldnt recommend you enthusiastically enough to any bunion sufferer.

Id just like to say how well written this site is. I learned yesterday I need an arthroscopy on my ankle and as usual being in a tizz there were questions I forgot to ask. Your article spells it out really clearly so I know what to expect!
Thank you

Sarah

Good news and bad news: on the good side I have spent 5 days skiing without any inconvenience from ankle and knee ( and I have been using them to the full!) On the other hand, I am very disappointed that your reconstructions have not improved my skiing abilities since last year!! Thank you very much for your work, which has allowed me to have such a good holiday.

Following my appointment with you, I cannot thank you enough for your very quick appraisal regarding the injuries to my left and right arms. Your appraisal gave me much more confidence to live a more normal life. I loved your remarks when it came to my questions about golf suck it and see, and swimming breast stroke. You answered so many questions that the other people had evaded. Other consultants had advised no physio, but I am looking forward to meeting your man Greg Ryan

Thanks for your handy work my ankle is well on the way to recovery. It felt so good I even managed a few sets of tennis out in France. There was a little swelling the next day but only to my head ( I thrashed the Frenchman in straight sets.)

A somewhat belated but nevertheless grateful Thank You for letting me observe you in surgery. I found it most interesting and informative. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to my patients, should the situation arise.

This is just to say thank you for your skilled and successful work on my knee which is enabling me to lead a normal life again. I am very grateful to you for your advice and will see about joining a gym as soon as possible. Please accept these 3 bottles of champagne as a token of my gratitude.

Its fantastic to be back on my skis again, and to be having such fun! Thank you so much for your brilliant work in sorting out my shoulder (and knee before that) and for making it all possible. Everything is brand new again and 100% operational!

Danced all night! (wearing sensible shoes of course!) Foot is obviously much better than it was (and the wine probably helped too)!!

I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this letter, I have been meaning to do it for a long while. I just wanted to thank you very much for your expertise and care during and after my right tibialis anterior tendon transfer operation in June this year. Progress is fairly steady, I have been seeing my physiotherapist every couple of weeks and doing lots of exercises to improve range of movement and reduce stiffness and that has been helping a lot. Walking is now a lot easier and I am very pleased that I no longer have to wear the splint.
Many thanks and best wishes

Just to let you know I have been back at work in the Philharmonica Orchestra for just over a month. All is going well and I would like to thank you for your excellent on the spot decision making for me as a violinist. Also thank you for the fantastic surgery and putting up with all my questions!! I have had lots of admiration for the fantastically neat scar as well! Thank you all

I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. You operated on my left ankle for a grade IV OCD on 31 January this year. Now last week I returned from a hill-walking holiday on the island of Skye. This is the first time Ive done anything of this magnitude for 6 years and I was far from certain I could cope, given the painful twinges I still felt from time to time, but the strong exercise (perhaps aided by liquid glucosamine) appears to have been incredibly therapeutic quite astonishingly so given the pain that far lesser exercise would have given me before the operation. I remember you telling me that most people who had this operation reported that their ankle improved from 3 / 4 out of 10 to 7 / 8. In my case I would say it improved from 5 to 7 before my visit to Skye and to 9 since my return. I hope to go hill-walking again in Arran this August and Id thought Id never climb the British hills again!
Thanks again for your truly excellent help. It has been transformational.

I had intended to drop you a brief line before now to say how grateful I am to you and all your staff for your help and attention over the last few months. In particular Christine Milton has been incredibly helpful and professional throughout. The nurses and various professionals who cared for me on the day of my operation were also incredibly attentive. I would be most grateful if you could take a moment to pass on my personal thanks to all involved in caring for me at the Wellington. Having completed my physiotherapy my shoulder seems to be fine and I am now back playing golf and cricket quite happily I am told I may even have gained half a yard of pace with my bowling!!
Thanks very much indeed again.

It is almost three months since you operated on that wretched tendon and I must express my thanks yet again to you for all you have done, I am exceedingly grateful. It is going on well first thing in the morning there is no swelling to speak of and at the end of the day not all that much. I am now back to doing all the walking I did before it started to cause problems with only occasional slight discomfort.

The operation you carried out is an excellent procedure. I cannot see the stitches you really are a "wizard". Also, your staff were very friendly and most helpful which makes a big difference when one is undergoing surgery.

You may recall you diagnosed my ITB a number of weeks ago you straight away referred me for physiotherapy and gait analysis with a podiatrist. I was planning to walk 100k in 24 hours across the hilly South Downs 3 months after diagnosis and you said my chances of completing the walk were slim. After physio rehabilitation, gait analysis with my Podiatrist and the fitting of orthotic insoles and a small amount of training starting 3 weeks ago, I completed the walk this morning at 5am in 23 hours and 1 minute. Our team raised over 6k in sponsorship. This email is to let you know the outcome and to thank you for the part you played in enabling me to do it. Speed really was of the essence and you both saw me quickly and referred me straight away to the right professionals, without whom I simply couldnt have managed the walk THANKS!

Thank you for looking after my mum and making her leg better. We miss having a ride in the wheel chair and swinging from her crutches. We are going to see my mums sister in Warwickshire. She is a nurse and my uncle is a doctor. They met in the navy. My cousin is training to be a doctor too. We love going to see them because there are farms and pheasants there.

P.S. We love our syringes.

I am totally recovered. In fact I came 2nd in the 200 metres and 3rd in the 100 metres. Thank you very much for helping me and I hope I dont see you again. Not in a bad way. I hope that you recover patients as well as me! My brother says hi!
